Lead paint inspections of single-family, low-income elderly or disabled homeowners
Get The Lead Out has taken the lead for community work in North and South Carolina. We have worked with eighteen cities and counties, six regional council of governments and two engineering consulting firms to provide lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments to those in need. We have provided our services to single family residences where comprehensive rehabilitation of single-family homes owned and occupied by low-income elderly or disabled people is occurring.
When municipal governments or agencies require asbestos testing to remodel or demolish a building, Get The Lead Out is available to take samples and provide consultation on planning the asbestos abatement.
In addition, Get The Lead Out has provided lead paint inspections throughout North and South Carolina for contractors working for HUD who require inspections of federally foreclosed houses before these houses can be sold to a new home owner. Since 2005 the average number of houses tested is thirty to forty a month.
For multi-family and commercial structures, Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Phase 1s are usually are required before a loan. Get The Lead Out can provide these reports within our coverage area.
